About the Innkeepers:

Peter and Rick "retired" from their hotel careers (see below) in 2004 after they bought the Grandview Gardens property with Jan in 2001 and did a major rennovation and expansion, adding approximately 4,000 sq ft to the original historic property.  The B & B opened in September of 2004.  In Fall of 2008, Rick's mother, Jan, joined the B & B operations team.  All 3 innkeepers help in all aspects of the B & B, but each has their specific area of responsibility.  Peter is in charge of day-to-day operations. Rick handles sales, marketing, PR and reservations. Jan is in charge of administration, day-to-day bookkeeping and general financial issues and supervises the gardening.  All three innkeepers take turns preparing and serving breakfast.  Running a B & B is a lot of work but the Innkeepers are enjoying their life in the hospitality business!

Peter Emmerich graduated from the world renowned Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland with a Hotel Management degree. Peter has held sales and marketing positions with numerous hotel groups and until recently (Summer 2004), Peter was Vice- President Membership Services at SRS-WORLDHOTELS in Frankfurt Germany, an association of 400 privately owned and managed hotels worldwide. Peter speaks English, German, Spanish, French and Italian.

Rick Rose graduated from the Florida State University School of Business with a degree in Hospitality Management. Rick has worked within both operations and sales for various hotel groups and most recently (until Jan 2004) as Regional Director of Sales for Central and Eastern Europe at InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s largest conglomerate of hotel brands and restaurants including Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts and Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts. Rick speaks English and German.

Jan Weimar, a first generation American and native of South Florida, retired in 2008 from Moyle, Flanigan, Katz, Breton, White & Krasker Law Offices in West Palm Beach where she was Director of Administration. Jan enjoyed a long and succesful career in all aspects of business management and administration, in particular within the financial and personnel management sectors.  Jan has also successfully owned and managed her own businesses within the real estate and retail markets.
